Here are some engaging experiences I'd like to record. They are kinds of building blocks of my undergrad studies.

Topology combined machine learning for consonant recognition

Here, we provide a transparent and broadly applicable methodology, TopCap, to capture the most salient topological features inherent in time series for machine learning. Notably, in classifying voiced and voiceless consonants, TopCap achieves an accuracy exceeding 96% and is geared towards designing topological convolutional layers for deep learning of speech and audio signals. Quorum sensing and population growth models for Pseudomonas aeruginosa

These two models aim to show that P. aeruginosa requires higher cell densities to activate the quorum sensing mechanism, and mild phage therapy is theoretically feasible to treat P. aeruginosa. The models serve as part of the dry experiment in the SUSTech iGEM team. See here for my work in our dry lab and our wiki.

Geometric visualization for moduli spaces of quantum mechanical systems

This involves the computation of eigenspaces of some special curves in discriminate surfaces corresponding to the characteristic polynomial of non-Hermitian matrices. Here is the draft of the computation, I also got acknowledged in the paper Non-Hermitian swallowtail catastrophe revealing transitions among diverse topological singularities (Hu et al). What's more, I made some 3D-printed models of the discriminate surfaces exhibited in SUSTech.
